Can anyone join the SBCE?
Yes, anyone can join us and become a member. We encourage individuals with no entrepreneurial background or experience to join. Explore the variety of resources and benefits available to you as you take the step.
Which nationalities are eligible to join the SBCE?
Membership of the SBCE is exclusively open to all citizens of the United Kingdom, Commonwealth Realms, British Overseas Territories and Crown Dependencies, encompassing 32 nations in total. See our eligible nationality list to learn more.

What is the mission of the SBCE?
"To promote and encourage entrepreneurial activities around the United Kingdom and Commonwealth realms, including British Overseas Territories, and Crown Dependencies. It aims to inspire, inform and educate people of all ages and backgrounds about entrepreneurship and business. Additionally to motivate those who operate, to develop their practice to the highest professional competent standard".
How does the SBCE promote Excellence & Professional competence?
All individuals who join us, agree to our values and commit to uphold the SBCE Code of Ethics and Conduct which promotes and ensures professional excellence and competency at all times. If a member is found to act dishonestly, the SBCE reserves the right to remove and revoke the individual's membership as outlined in the membership terms & conditions.
How do the SBCE post-nominals benefit my career?
We are the first and only entrepreneurial society in the world that offers post-nominal designations. Individuals who hold the grade of Member or Fellow can currently use the designated post-nominals MSBCE or FSBCE after your name. This showcases your standing in the SBCE, and it can also be useful for clients, stakeholders and any potential employers. It also demonstrates your commitment to our values and strengthens your reputation & creditability as an entrepreneur.

Who are Members of the SBCE?
Members of the SBCE include; sole traders, freelancers, founders, owners, directors, and executives. They range from small local businesses to multi national corporations operating in various markets and industries. Regardless of your experience or profession we invite you to join the SBCE today.
Can Citizens from the Commonwealth of Nations join?
Currently individuals can only join the SBCE if they are a citizen from the United Kingdom, Commonwealth Realms, British Overseas Territories and Crown Dependencies. However if you are citizen of a Commonwealth realm which is also part of the Commonwealth of Nations you are still eligible to join the SBCE. At the moment SBCE membership is restricted to 32 nations. See our eligible nationality list to learn more.
Do Members of the Armed Forces receive discounted Membership?
Yes, all serving and retired members of the Armed Forces from the United Kingdom, Commonwealth Realms, British Overseas Territories and Crown Dependencies receive a discounted membership subscription and no registration fee. They are also are fast tracked into the grade of Member (MSBCE) or Fellow (FSBCE), and benefit from the unique Armed Forces Network Group. See Armed Forces Membership to learn more.
Do I receive discounted Membership if i'm aged 18-24?
Yes, students and any individual aged 18-24 can join the SBCE for just £2 per month. You will get fast tracked into the grade of Member (MSBCE) with no registration fee and be able to access all Member benefits including the unique Student Network Group. See Student Membership to learn more.
What is the difference between Corporate Partnership and Corporate Membership?
Corporate Membership is designed for organisations who wish to join the SBCE in order to encourage and advance their employees by gaining access to our membership benefits. Corporate Partnership is designed for organisations who don't require use of membership benefits but still wish to financially support us and show their support to help us achieve our mission. How can I support the SBCE?
We solely rely on memberships and donations to keep operating and achieve our aims, objectives and mission. Every member who joins the SBCE supports us with their membership, this helps to ensure the effective running and operating of the SBCE including the expansion of additional member benefits.
