Honorary Fellowships (Hon FSBCE) are conferred upon distinguished individuals who have demonstrated exceptional achievements, leadership, service or impact rendered meritorious to entrepreneurship or a closely related discipline on a national or international scale. Honorary Fellows comprise of leading entrepreneurs, business leaders, investors and innovators from around the world. Honorary Fellowships are a lifetime honour and the highest accolade which the SBCE bestows upon individuals to acknowledge and recognise outstanding contribution to Entrepreneurship. The SBCE awards no more than TEN Honorary Fellowships per year and there is a of a maximum of 46 living Honorary Fellows at any one time, reflecting the distinction and exclusivity of this recognition. All Honorary Fellowships are a lifetime honour and are awarded with the post-nominals Hon FSBCE for life. Individuals who have been awarded Honorary Fellowships for 2025 will be announced in due course.

Selection Criteria - Honorary Fellowship

Nominees for the Honorary Fellowship should exhibit a distinguished record of achievement in one or more of the following areas:

• Has a direct connection to entrepreneurship

• Has given sustained value and excellence to entrepreneurship

• Proactively displays entrepreneurial qualities in its broadest sense

• Proven ability to cultivate impactful business with institutions, industries, or communities

• Demonstrated commitment and distinction to entrepreneurship, generating positive societal or industry-wide impact

• Exceptional achievements, leadership, service or impact rendered meritorious to entrepreneurship (or a closely related discipline) either on a national or international scale.

It is recommended that the nominee is not informed of the submission to avoid any disappointment if unsuccessful.​

Who can put forward nominations?
Nominations may only be submitted by any current Fellow of the SBCE (FSBCE).
 

How can I nominate someone?
Nominations are accepted year-round and can be submitted via nomination form. Once received, the nomination will be reviewed.
